Ahoy to all reading humans, here is what lies ahead in the ever twisting realm of Madina Lake:

New Single & Music Video
We shot a video for our next single, with director Greg Kaplan, and will be announcing it and its release date in the coming week.  We intend it to be a worldwide release and we’ll let you know the moment that we do.  This is by far our favorite video to date and to us, one of the most important songs that we’ve ever written.  The song comes from our album World War III, which is on sale at AmazonMP3 for only $5 the entire month of January.

Japan
We are in Japan today, where we will be performing an in-store at Tower Records in Shibuya.  Tomorrow, at Club Quattro, we are performing World War III from start to finish.  This show is January 11th.  At this show, we will be hosting an after party meet and greet where we are giving away a lot of special Madina items (i.e. stage clothes from the first 2 record cycles, limited edition vinyl, tour laminates, etc).  We will be filming this show for a release as well, considering we will be performing songs that we’ve never played live before and will never play again.

USA
After returning to the US from Japan, we will begin the second leg of the Wake Up! Tour with Me Talk Pretty and Hawthorne Heights, January 17th through mid-February.  Don’t forget to RSVP on Facebook if you’re coming out a show!

Australia
On Feb 25th, we are off to Australia for the Soundwave Festival, featuring Van Halen, Limp Bizkit, Dillinger Escape Plan… every ridiculously wonderful band you can think of.

UK
We will be back in the UK this spring!  Stay tuned for details…

Mythology
We trust and hope this new year has kicked off in the right manor for you all.  We’d like to update our people on the state of our town’s affairs.

At MadinaLake.com you’ll find the link that takes you to the first installment, the “Auspice,” that corresponded with From Them, Through Us, To You .  At the end, you’ll be able to click on the next one to take you to “Scorched Earth,” which follows Attics to Eden.  Now, the conclusion is underway, as you click through to World War III.

Our idea from the beginning was to unfold this winding tale and conclude it with this release.  The whole story was outlined in its entirety since the inception.  To our delight, this overly ambitious effort has stayed true to its original objective.  Interestingly, some of the elements have actually manifested themselves into our real lives throughout the duration.  New pages will be added often until the big ending.  At this point, we will reveal all of the clues we left along the way, and explain the meaning of our postulation.

Thank you for staying connected, we hope you enjoy it!

Nathan’s New Year’s Resolution.

Comment » Posted December 30th, 2011.

It’s that time of year again: time for noisemakers, funny hats, glitter and fireworks. Most importantly, though, it’s time for resolutions. Whether we want to do better at our jobs or in school, give ourselves more time for the things we do for fun, or just want to eat less candy, New Year’s eve is the time to evaluate what you’ve made of the year, and figure out what you want to make of the one to come. We’re really excited for 2012 here at PureVolume. There have been some big changes in 2011 and we’re going to keep on trying to make the site better, faster and stronger for you.

Nathan: I want to commit much more time and energy to a book I’m writing. it’s called “Don’t Love, Me Judge Me” and basically sums up every moronic and juvenile situation Matthew and I have either inherited created or stumbled upon since day one.

Merry Christmas and a happy New Year! I hope 2012 will be a great year for all of you!
