The first Madina Lake Day was set up by fans on March 27th 2008 and since that, it’s an annual thing. On March 27th 2007, Madina Lake released their first album, From Them, Through Us, To You.
It’s all up to you what to do this day, obviously it has to be Madina Lake related.
Make pictures of it or a video of what you did today and tweet it so I can retweet it!
Another important day for the creepers is July 27th, which would be National Matthew Leone Day, declared by the governor of Illinois, Pat Quinn after the incident in June, 2010.

“almost 2 years after making the “Get Well, Matthew” video and selling wristbands to raise money to help cover those medical bills, I’ve decided it’s time to get started with new project for the Leone twins. Matthew (and Nathan) appreciate every thing we do for them and even though it’s been almost 2 years since Matthew’s incident, every day he is thankful to be here and have the support behind him. Why should it stop now? So, something fun. It could be a little hard, but I GOT THIS!… heh…
WHAT I NEED FROM YOU MY CREEPERS/ANGELS
Is for you to send me an email by NEXT FRIDAY the 30th March letting me know you’re in and then I will send out what I want you to do. Sound good?
Well, here’s the basic breakdown of the idea. There is a song off WWIII called, We Got This. I don’t have to tell you guys what it’s about. I want YOU to help me put together a video of you singing different parts of it so we have the whole song down. It don’t matter if you don’t think you can sing. Go crazy with it, have some fun. It’s the thought that counts.
Okay, sounds cool?
Email me YOUR NAME, WHERE YOU ARE LOCATED and i’ll give you a part to sing.
matthewleoneproject@gmail.com and as always, follow twitter.com/matthewsangels for madina lake news and project updates!
oh yeah, reblog the shit out of this post so we can get everyone involved!”
In a recent interview (see previous post) with the guys, the following was stated:
“So Mateo recently left the band, very suddenly, have you made an official statement yet as to why this occurred?
No we haven’t, there’s two reasons for that. One, he just quit too early. He’s from Bogotá, Columbia and the touring just got way too grueling for him. We are still writing as Madina Lake, all the music in the future will be done as the four of us. Touring wise we are using our tour manager replacing Mateo at front of house.
So Mateo is still a permanent member of Madina Lake, but basically he is just no longer a touring member?
Exactly!”
However, Mateo tweeted and stated the opposite of it yesterday:
So from this all, I think I can conclude Mateo is definitely not a member of the band anymore, in contrast to what has been mentioned by the band.
“Though he’d just gone through a breakup, Nathan Leone’s friends goaded him to come out one night to meet Jenna Martinelli. The pair hit it off and the rest is history!”
AMH’ Glenn Johnston was lucky enough to catch up with Nathan Leone at Soundwave Melbourne. Read all about their journey, new album and an exciting project they have coming up below.

So WWIII has been released and has been very well received, personally I think it’s very similar to your first album and hits all the spots Attics To Eden didn’t.
I couldn’t agree more, we went into the second record very excited, loving where all the songs were before we hit the studio, our label at the time put us in with David Bendeth who is a wonderful producer, but it was one of these massive budgets, super shiny production, quantize drums, I think it kind of lobotomized the songs, it wasn’t the perfect match for our band. We really paid for it in that sense. So when we went in for WWIII we decided that we’d do the whole thing for ourselves, Mateo produced and engineered it, we recorded it in our rehearsal spot and we really got to bring out the personality in it like we did on our first record.
