“I’m Matthews wife, and at the moment we can’t give any details about the “trial”. All I can say to anyone who believes that if a court makes a decision it must be just- I truly hope you never find yourself a victim trying to navigate through a corrupt system that is based on money and power, and who has to rely on the competense of an overworked prosecutor you don’t get to choose (meanwhile the defendant is free to hire high powered attorneys with connections) while being treated as nothing more than a disposable witness to the state. But if you do, believe me, you will become extremely disenchanted with the righteousness of our legal system. And melinda- he was also acquitted of aggravated battery. This was a black and white case, and there was absolutely no room for a not guilty verdict. We are heart broken, and our pathway to closure, through justice, has been blocked.”

Dave Casey is a dear friend of the guys and member of the band Deadbeatz. He posted something on Facebook that I gladly want to share with you all. He also mentions “ He’s obviously on our side, we just need him to stay there. Email, call, facebook him…what ever you gotta do.”

On the benefit, Quinn even said “We have a true American hero right here in Matthew Leone””. That same day at the Metro Benefit in 2010, Pat Quinn declared July 27th as Matthew Leone Day.

Wikipedia actually says it’s the 13th of May, but this is not true. Madinalake.com used to have false birthyears and dates on their website, so people assume they were born on the 13th and they think they in their early 30′s.
You could actually look for this information on official websites, like this one.

“We’re utterly baffled and shocked to get a Not-Guilty verdict in the Justin Pivec attempted murder case. Admittedly we’re not well versed in the justice system but today a vicious coward was given a free pass for beating his wife and almost killing my brother.
